As some of you may know, we are some hardworking ladies who are trying to harness creativity and happiness from every part of our lives. We want to share this with you and the community.
The idea of Made and Maker, before it even had a name, came from our desire to make and hoard beautiful things while simultaneously selling and gifting them to our friends and family. Over a short period of time, we quickly realized that being entrepreneurs of ventures, big and small, is an overwhelming task. Therefore, we are joining forces to provide the community with a small shop that offers vintage clothing and housewares, work by local artists, and unique jewelry made on site as well as a workspace for individual creativity that could eventually turn into a new business.
Along with providing the space and tools needed for making, we want to promote and nurture the creative process in its entirety from start to finish. As Creatives, it is easy to begin projects that we are compassionate about, but completing them isn’t always as simple. Whether this speed bump is caused by a lack of funding, free time, motivation, support, etc., we know the struggle. Therefore, we hope to meld a diverse studio space that offers constructive feedback to our Makers with a fully operating photography setup and the editing equipment needed to professionally present new work.
When a piece is completed, each Maker will be encouraged to immediately photograph, edit, and publish what they have made to their website. With your help, we will be able to construct a beautiful workspace and storefront as well as provide the tools to help everyone achieve his or her dreams. Whether those dreams facilitate a new hobby or jump-start a new business venture, they are all important.
Our ultimate goal with Made and Maker is to explore new ways to have fun, create, share and support each Maker to achieve a personal goal. If you believe in us or know how passionately we feel about this idea, please show your support, stop by the store, or just send us good vibes!
